About The Role

The Department specialises in advice to private individuals, companies, and trusts both in connection with mainstream commercial property work and in specialist sector teams including rural and estates, charities and social enterprises, education, faith and transport. 

The role would suit a solicitor with 3 or more years PQE, but the workload can be tailored to the level of experience dependent on the successful candidate.  The expectation would be that the individual would deal with commercial property transactions across the department, although a candidate who wanted to focus on one or more of our niche areas could be accommodated.

Job Experience:

Duties and responsibilities:

We are looking for candidates with experience and an interest in some or all of the following:

  • Sales and purchases
  • Non-contentious landlord and tenant
  • Secured borrowing and lending
  • Development sites including ancillary documents such as easements, options and pre-emption arrangements etc
  • Regular property work including title queries and registration work

Previous experience, knowledge or a real interest in any of the niche aspects of our work, such as landed estates, trusts, and charities would be an advantage, but is not essential. Training will be provided in niche areas where necessary.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable running a full case load and working independently, using their initiative to develop their skills, as well as working as a team on certain projects and within a collegiate team environment in the department. 

We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic candidates who will get on well with clients and fit in well with the friendly environment at Wrigleys. We encourage our solicitors to work autonomously in the main, and we do not micro-manage, but full support is available from a broad and collegiate team.
