Job Summary:
We are recruiting for an experienced Legal Executive (CILEX) or Solicitor (around 5PQE) to join our extensive Private Client Team based in our Sheffield office. You will join a leading team of lawyers who specialise in providing advice to private individuals and trustees in respect of trust management, probate, and estate planning.

About The Role
The role is ideally suited to someone with approximately 5 years’ experience in estate administration. Experience of trust administration would be preferable but not necessary.
The successful candidate will provide specialist estate administration advice, inheritance tax planning, capital gains and income tax related advice for estate periods.
Job Experience:
Duties and responsibilities:

Dealing with all aspects of probate and inheritance tax related advice, dealing with correspondence and direct contact with clients

A depth and breadth of experience in the relevant specialist areas such as estate administration, tax planning, inheritance tax

Engaging in business development activities and being active in the promotion of the firm and seeking opportunities for new work (particularly in the Sheffield area)

Developing ongoing relationships with an existing client based

Developing close working relationships with colleagues within the team and the wider firm and supporting those colleagues by helping them manage their caseloads by dealing with specific delegated tasks

Ensuring files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures

Keeping abreast of changes in legislation and other regulatory aspects by attending training provided

- Strong technical ability and attention to detail
- Able to demonstrate well – reasoned, intellectual rigour in managing clients’ affairs
- Capable of developing rapport with clients, colleagues and the wider Private Wealth community
- Collegiate in nature, creating positive relationships both internally and externally
- The ability to work to meet clients' demands
- Ability to communicate legal advice in an accessible manner in this complex & niche area of the law
- Able to deeply understand the needs of clients and provide pragmatic, sensible advice, cost efficient advice
- Enthusiastic, keen to develop self and team
- Able to identify possible issues to avoid any risk to the firm
- Always displays a professional approach
- Operates flexibly and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
- Good numerical skills.
