Give & Gain Day - 15th May 2015 - a national day to celebrate volunteering

14 May 2015

Friday will see thousands of people across the globe spend a working day volunteering for good causes in their local community

Give & Gain Day on 15th May is Business in the Community (BITC)’s flagship event when around 30,000 employees from UK businesses spend a day volunteering in their local communities.

Give and Gain Day 2015

BITC comment "There are thousands of vibrant charities and voluntary groups who rely on volunteers throughout the year to help run frontline services, backroom functions or to serve as trustees.  Whether you are interested in environmental projects, working with children or older people, helping animals or fundraising for a local hospice there are a plethora of opportunities.

Harehills Primary School, Leeds

As part of our community programme, Wrigleys are pleased to be supporting Harehills Primary School on the day.

Jessica Cumming, a solicitor in the Wrigleys Charities and Social Economy team adds "The plan is for the volunteers to help improve the outdoor areas of the school. By creating a garden area and assisting with sprucing up the playground, we hope this will create a more enjoyable environment for the children during their play time. Having volunteered with BITC before, I am confident that we will have a great time come rain or shine."
