Senior Judge of the Court of Protection appointed

15 March 2017

Carolyn Hayley Jane Hilder has been appointed to the title of “Circuit Judge, Senior Judge of the Court of Protection”.

Her Honour Judge Hilder will be the successor to His Honour Judge Denzil Lush

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at the Court of Protection, London, with effect from Tuesday 4 April 2017.

Her Honour Judge Hilder’s appointment will be with effect from Tuesday 4 April 2017.

A brief career history published by the Courts and Tribunals Judiciary summarises that she was called to the Bar in 1991. She was appointed as a fee-paid Tribunal Judge of the First-tier Tribunal Health Education and Social Care Chamber in 2003 and as a District Judge in 2010.
