Through the Maze- Conference 2018

12 March 2018

A huge thank you to all that attended our second “Through the Maze” Conference, last Wednesday 7 March in Leeds.

We heard from five excellent speakers, including our own Austin Thornton. Austin along with Stephen Knafler QC of Landmark Chambers gave interesting talks in relation to the issues surrounding Direct Employment of carers specifically regulation, registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the practical aspects of insuring direct employment packages. This led onto some very interesting debate in the afternoon, during the workshops.

Details of all the speakers are below.

Please do get in touch here if you would like copies of any slides or would like to hear about future events. Our aim is for our conference to become “bigger and better” each year. We would like to cover any specific topics our delegates would like to hear about. If you would like us to cover a specific area or topic of interest next year, please do let us know.
