New Care Act statutory guidance published

The Department of Health has produced an amended version of the Care Act Statutory guidance.

The Department of Health has produced an amended version of the Care Act Statutory guidance which is available here.

Local authorities are required to have regard to this guidance when applying the Care Act  and should not depart from it without good reason.

The most substantial revision is to the safeguarding section.

The Department of Health has produced a table of amendments which can be accessed here.
