Wrigleys helps significant membership organisation achieve registered charity status
We are delighted to have been able to support Charity Tax Group (CTG) in obtaining registered charity status.
Wrigleys’ charities and social economy team partner, Joanna Blackman, observes “this is a significant milestone for such an important contributor to the charity sector, and we are delighted that their registration application has been successful”.
CTG’s chair Richard Bray, who made the announcement at the body’s winter conference said “I am very pleased to be able to tell you that our application to be a charity has been approved by the Charity Commission. Huge thanks go to Wrigleys Solicitors who have unstintingly helped us in this endeavour.”
Richard added “The Charity Tax Group is the voice of charities on tax, so it makes sense that we are now recognised as a charity ourselves, providing education, information and training to charities around the complex issues of tax.”.
Joanna notes that thanks should go to the Charity Commission for its thoughtful and continued engagement throughout the rigorous application process.
Wrigleys looks forward to working with CTG, and the charities it supports, in the coming years.
