Breakout A: Blowin’ in the wind: do you need to change your approach to whistleblowing?
Every employer has heard of whistleblowing, but do they really understand it and what is the best practice to deal with an employee who blows the whistle? Join Michael Crowther as he considers all the elements of a claim, considers the impact of a recently announced government review of the area, and asks whether your organisation needs to change its approach to the subject.

Breakout B: A clash of rights: dealing with grievances in changing times
This breakout session will provide an in-depth exploration of Acas-compliant grievance processes, including the key elements that must be taken into consideration. Using a case study as a working example, we will look at how to work through and manage grievances where there is a perceived clash of Equality Act rights, including protected beliefs and transgender rights. After completing the interactive session, attendees will have a greater understanding of how to effectively manage grievances in the workplace and the next steps that should be taken after the grievance process is complete.
