Laura Moss is a partner in our students' unions team.

Laura is a former sabbatical officer and now advises students’ unions on a range of charity law, governance and commercial issues.  This includes incorporations, governance reviews, contracts and a range of other matters involving societies, trustees and student officers.

With 15 years of experience in the sector, Nick has an excellent understanding of the challenges facing SUs of all sizes as campaigning, representative and service delivery organisations. He was company secretary of the National Union of Students in the year it won the Third Sector award for trustee board of the year.

He has worked within universities directly, having been an executive officer within a leading medical school and Assistant Registrar for governance at a Russell Group University.

Nick is now board secretary for 5 students’ unions across the UK and undertakes governances reviews for several others each year. He recently graduated from the Chartered Governance Institute’s “Charity Law & Governance” programme with a distinction.
