Cathedrals and charity trading: the opportunities and pitfalls Webinar series

Thursday 2nd December, 2021 |
Joining instructions to follow from our events team 30 minutes before the event.

Free to attend

Cathedrals face unique challenges in terms of sustainability and raising income. The new Cathedrals Measure provides the perfect opportunity for cathedrals to review their trading arrangements and ensure they are both effective and charity law compliant.

Our charity law expert Sylvie Nunn will be hosting a workshop to explore the law, the opportunities and pitfalls around cathedrals and charity trading, and to provide a forum for chapter members to ask questions and share experiences.

The workshop will cover
•    The role of chapter members in trading decisions
•    Trading and charity law compliance
•    Using a subsidiary: governance and structuring the legal relationship

This is the second workshop in our series we are hosting for cathedrals and so please keep your eye out for future events.

Please feel free to share this with your chapel members.
